GE's TIP Trailer Services F.'leetCare — TIP's Contract Maintenance iolution has been developed to provide ustomers with fixed cost maintenance from a :rusted supplier that delivers a fully compliant service. FleetCare can provide a variety Df different solutions, from basic chassis servicing and inspection, to reefer, tyre and tail-lift maintenance. Additional options, such as Pan-European Roadside cover, MOT replacement trailers, and on-line compliance can also he chosen to reflect the customers operational requirement.

In order to provide the highest quality maintenance. TIP has in-sourced all of it's 12 UK workshops. This move reflects the need to provide the ability to boost service levels and provide the platform for building the FleetCare product. Scott Davies, Operations Director for GE's TIP Trailer Services UK states "Many customers are reviewing their strategy concerning their own workshops, so this is an ideal time to provide them with an alternative solution. Building the skill base and capacity within our own workshops is absolutely crucial to our future as a Services provider".

This development is not limited to its own workshops, as each depot will have their own mobile service vans, in GE's TIP Trailer Services Livery. John Murray, TIP's Managing Director, said: "This is a reflection on GE's commitment to this sector, we recognise that Services such as these are absolutely key to our customers therefore we will provide them with one of the best contract maintenance solutions in the market."

In order to deliver the expertise needed in this area GE's TIP Trailer Services have recently appointed Ian Colley, as Services Development Manager. With many years of experience in the management of contract maintenance programmes Ian was keen to be the person to drive FleetCare "This is essentially repackaging what TIP do best — managing the compliance and maintenance of assets, and putting it into a customer friendly package that makes sense from a commercial and service delivery point of view. We believe we can provide the most compliant solution at the optimal price."
