week (with apologies to PR Week which each week nominates a PRat for the screwie: release) must go to Transpor 2000 Ltd, which describes itself as the national environmental transport campaign.

It has presented Transport Secretary, John Moore with two "gifts" — a framed pictur and a "short book", whatever that is.

The picture is said to be at attractively presented quotation from the 1977 Leitch Re port (para 20.19) which, apparantly, pours cold water on the idea that new roads bring jobs.

The book is equally inspirit — Martin Mogridge's "Jam Yesterday, Jam Today, Jam Tomorrow?"

The release states that "Jam" is a very good read, much easier than most of wh the Transport Secretary will be confronted with, and quotes Transport 2000's dire tor Susan Hoyle who said "It should he required reading fa Department of Transport civil servants, and the picture will look very nice on Mr Moore's desk."
