Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

tisitors to the Institute of Le Management's exhibinear Bournemouth last it had a preview of the ais Eagle Phoenix 8-11, an l-tonner with 8, 4m3 d3) body.

has an overall width of (7ft), and with its 3.7m ;) wheelbase Dennis is it is manoeuvrable igh to get into the tightest es.

in body has a 1.8m3 yd3) hopper at the back, it can take a full range of ifts. The engine is a

Perkins' Phaser, developing 112kW (150hp). Dennis plans to start production of the Phoenix 8-11 at the end of November, and deliveries should start in January or February.

For many visitors it was also the first opportunity to see Leyland's new refuse chassis, which was first announced in April. This is based on a T45 Freighter 16.13 chassis with an extended front to the frame, and a crew cab for five people plus driver, based on the shell of the standard sleeper cab with a different roof.

Extending the frame and setting the cab further forward has given the opportunity to extend the entrance step to make climbing into the crew cab much easier. The extra space in front of the engine is used to take a front-driven power take off.

To get the weight distribution right with a refuse collection body, the suspension has been lowered with multi-leaf instead of single taper leaf springs at the rear. The springs are assymetrical with the longer part of the spring towards the front.

Leyland was also giving the first showing of its municipal Roadrunner with a Jack Allen body. This also has assyrnetric rear springs and a slightly shorter wheelbase than the haulage version for weight distribution and to make it more manoeuvrable in confined spaces.

Among the six vehicles on its stand, Volvo had the first 116 134k4V (180hp) turbo engined chassis to be fitted with a tank body. This was a 6,360 litre (1,400gal) gulley emptier tank for the Cleaning Service Group of Southampton. The tank was built by Simmons Engineering which is wholly owned subsidiary of CSG.
