• Irish Dairy Board UK subsidiary Adams Foods is to stop distributing its own products and move to third party by the end of next year. The company, which runs 100 vehicles, is also selling its distribution depot near St Albans.
Adams operates mostly 32tonne chilled Leyland Daf artics, with some 38-tonners and 16-tonners. The company says its decision hinges on the "radical changes made by majo high street retailers in the way they handle products from sup pliers".
Adams distributes IDB products Kerrygold and Just Juice It says it is giving its employees as much notice as possible before entering talks.
