BRIGHTON Council is starting negotiations which may result in its taking over control of the city's bus services, currently run in conjunctiion with National Bus. At a meeting on Monday Labour and Conservative councillors agreed that a better service might result at a cost of three times the current £100,000 a year figure.
A council report on the situation concludes that the NBC's profit motive conflicts with the council's requirements.
