• Volvo Trucks claims a 1.5% growth in its market share in the European heavy and medium truck markets during the first six months of this year.
The Swedish company says that the FL range, introduced last October, is beginning to appear in the company's sales figures and by July 7,000 FL trucks had been sold in Europe.
The company's turnover for the first six months of this year stood at around £825 million (8,219 million kroner).
In Britain, Volvo's sales of trucks and articulated vehicles are 5. 16% down on last year. In the first eight months of the year the company sold 3,141 vehicles compared with 3,312 in the same period a year earlier (SMMT figures).
