Car costs • A new, low-cost fleet car management software package has been introduced by CHBS Management Consultants of Christchurch, Dorset.
The system keeps track of car costs such as fuel and servicing and also issues reminders for licences and insurance, last services and MoT dates. It is designed to operate on an IBM XT personal computer. The price is £249 plus VAT.
Soon to be announced is a version for mixed fleets of cars and vans (VanCost). By the end of the year there will be a further version for fleets of trucks, vans and cars, based on the Institute of Road Transport Engineers VMRS standards.
