• It is with regret that we report the death of John Cave-Wood founder of High Wycombe-based Cave Wood Transport.
Cave-Wood founded the company in November 1962 in Chesham, Bucks. Under his guidance it expanded from an initial fleet of 12 vehicles, to today's fleet which is more than 100 vehicles strong.
In 1975 Cave-Wood directed the company's move to its present location in High Wycombe.
In September last year he retired from the Board of Cave Wood Transport, but he retained a lively interest in the company's progress right up until his death on August 30.
