licensing authority Roy Hutchings is to consider whether or not to impose environmental conditions on a licence he is to grant to Poynton Waste Disposal foL lowing objections from Macclesfield Borough Council.

FA, JA and RA Ridley trading as Poynton Waste Disposal, had applied for a new national licence for four vehicles following a reconstitution of the partnership.

The LA was told that there was no planning permission for the present operating centre at Nelson Pit, Higher Povnton, a temporary planning permission having expired. The firm had agreed to move to council-owned land in Anison Road and to sell its present premises to the council but council members had refused planning permission for the use of Amson Road.

That decision was the subject of an appeal.

Keith Smith, for the council, asked that if a licence was granted conditions be imposed restricting times of use, the number of vehicles and whether they might be parked.

Reserving decision Mr Hutchings said he would have to grant a licence as this was an existing operating centre which had been in use prior to 1982.
