CONSTRUCTED of polyester materials, an RTS refrigerated body is seen mounted on a Ford chassis, the unladen weight and payload capacity of the vehicle being about 4 tons 5cwt. and 2 tons lOcwt. respectively. Insulation is provided by expanded polyurethane foam having a thickness of 21n. and the body is refrigerated by a Frigidafre unit mounted over the cab on the front bulkhead. The vehicle is one of a fleet operated by the Express Dairy Co. Ltd.

A second refrigerated body is designed to carry 14 tons of pallet-loaded goods at 28deg F and is equipped with a Thermo-King unit. The body is constructed of aluminium and is insulated with polyurethane. It is mounted on an RTS Loadranger single-axle semitrailer designed to operate at 24-ton g.v.w.
