CONSTRUCTED of polyester materials, an RTS refrigerated body is seen mounted on a Ford chassis, the unladen weight and payload capacity of the vehicle being about 4 tons 5cwt. and 2 tons lOcwt. respectively. Insulation is provided by expanded polyurethane foam having a thickness of 21n. and the body is refrigerated by a Frigidafre unit mounted over the cab on the front bulkhead. A second refrigerated body is designed to carry 14 tons of pallet-loaded goods at 28deg F and is equipped with a Thermo-King unit.
