A special paint system developed by Detel Paints Ltd. gives protection against corrosion which is claimed to equal that afforded by chlorinated-rubber-based materials. It is known as the Detochlor Clear System and gives a high-quality finish. The system has been applied to tankers carrying a 98 per cent solution of sulphuric acid.
