This was submitted by Mr. G. Emslie, QC., for the Western S.M.T.C. Ltd„ and Cunningham's Bus Servies Ltd., Paisley, when they responded to appeal by Paton, heard at Glasgow Ir week, against the refusal of the Scotti Traffic Commissioners of a licence .provide the service, Mr. Emslie accused the appellants trying to break into the route shared 1 his clients. It was obvious that ma buses would take passengers away fro the .existing operators, he said. • For Paton, Mr. C. H. Johnston, Q.( stated that the evidence was in favour a service to St. James Street, Paisley, the appellants proposed to provide. T. present service was to County Squat from which people had to walk 700 yar to St. James Street.
