HOPE that the Government would have second thoughts on a motorway. speed limit for heavy vehicles was expressed by Mr. G. E. Sanderson, president, Hull Chamber of Commerce and Shipping, when he addressed the Humberside section of the Institute of Transport.
Although a bridge across the Humber would put Hull on the map, it was not enough, he said. A trunk road across the heart of industrial Yorkshire and Lancashire would also be needed.
