nUT of about 36,000 vehicles, tl British Transport Commission w retain. some 3,500. This is all to whii they are entitled under the Transpc Act, 1953. They are selling abo 32,500 vehicles. The Commission a disposing entirely of their interests meat haulage and parcels and sma transport.

Among the retained fleet will be many long-distance vehicles as the A permits. A substantial number specialized vehicles now in the Spec, Traffics Division of British Ro Services will also be held and will operated under the name Pickfords.
