followed the latest protests in Newcastle and Middlesbrough over the weekend. Last Saturday around 100 truckers drove twice around Newcastle before parking up in the town centre where they listened to representatives from the local council. In Middlesbrough on Monday only 34 of the expected 200 trucks turned up for a slow drive through the town centre and surrounding roads.
