is being sued by the owners of an industrial estate in Ipswich for refusing to pay £900 in parking fines. Director Kevin Reid said the fines being dished out by Proserve, which is employed by Ransomes Park to enforce parking restrictions, were unfair and too high The Road Haulage Association said it would help the haulier with costs, as it could prove to be a test case for other firms to demand refunds. Infrastructure manager Chrys Rampley said: "They aren't parking; they are stopping for a few minutes. It's not proportionate."
Nigel Robson, a director at Ransomes Park's parent company The Land Group, declined to comment.
