• Nears Travel and Tours Ltd., Stanley Road, Teddington, has acquired Garner's Coaches Ltd., South Ealing Road, South Ealing, and its associated companies, White Star Coaches Ltd., Kingston; Hounslow Star Coaches Ltd.; and Cranford Coaches Ltd. This involves 20 vehicles, mainly Bedfords and Fords: the company has extensive express, excursion and tour licences based on Ealing, Hounslow, Cranford and Kingston with picking up points throughout West London, Mr. Albert Neal, who controls Neal's, is continuing the businesses under their present names and at the same time will be expanding his own companies, which include the recently acquired Capital Coaches.
As part of his new development he has acquired a garage and maintenance area in The Avenue, Hampton. His combined fleet numbers approximately 50 coaches and 14 lorries.
