FARES for the Scottish Omnibu Group will be increased from July by amounts ranging from +d. to 6d. fares revision has been granted by 1 Scottish Traffic Commissioners and v apply to buses run by Scottish Om buses, Ltd., Western S.M.T. Co., Ll Central S.M.T. Co., Ltd., and Alexander and Sons, Ltd.
The proposal by the bus companies raise the 3d. single fare by +d. has r been granted, however, and this u reduce by £55,000 the additional reven of £721,000 a year sought by the grot A similar request for an increase in t 3d. fare was refused in August last ye.
Certain increases in workers' fares ha also been refused.
SOUTHDOWN AND PORTSMOU1 INCREASE UPHELD
AN appeal to the Minister of Transix by Havant and Waterloo U.D. against fares increases granted to Soul down Motor Services, Ltd., and the Ci of Portsmouth transport department h year by the South Eastern Traf Commissioners has been dismissed.
