rUSTOMS receipts on motor and
aviation spirit totalled over £120m. in the year ended March 31. A further £19m. was obtained from Customs duties on derv.
Excise revenue on motor and aviation spirit amounted to nearly £4m., and on derv. to over £800.000.
The Financial Secretary to the Treasury gave this information last week. The net total of Customs and Excise duties on all classes of hydrocarbon oil was over £143m., he stated
