TIIE Folkestone depot of British Road Services, which, as reported in The Commercial. Motor on December 16, has been acquired by Cleave Transport (Audlem), Ltd., Audlcm, near crewe, is to be split up

and resold.

There are 25 licensed vehicles (87 tons) and three spares, as well as premises, in the unit. The vehicles include three articulated outfits, four tippers and a van.

SCOTLAND A further 16 vehicles, including' two *articulated outfits (36) tons), have been bought by Mr. Ernest Sanderson, Bearsden. Four of the vehicles have now been transferred. two (51 tons) going to Clark and Dutch, Ltd., Perth; one (3 tons) to Messrs. Ross's Transport Service, Aberdeen; and one (3 tons) to Mr. J. P. Grant, Nairn. A new purchaser, Mr. Andrew Lowe, June, Glasgow, has bought five vehicles, including an articulated outfit (13) tons). Mr. James Cosgrove, Dundee, has also Liken over his first lorry from British Road Services. It has an unladen weight of 31 tons. Joe Croon (Road Transport), Ltd.. Edinburgh, have bought another lorry (3 tons). Two more lorries have been added to the fleet operated by E. Ferguson (Transport), Ltd., Ayr. One of them (3 tons) came from Messrs. J. and G. Campbell, Lid., Dalkeith. and the other (3 tons) from Forrest Plant and Hiring Co.. Airdrie. Irvine Valley Coaches, Ltd., Darvel, Litre taken over a lorry (3 tons) from Mr. Allan Moffat, Junr., Carnwarth.

Pentland Garage, Ltd.. Loanhead, who have acquired another two articulated outfits (4I tons), have transferred one of these (11 tons) to Dalkeith Transport and Storage Co., Ltd., Dalkeith.

NORTHERN AREA Mr. R. T. Charlton, Birkshaw, Bardon Mill, Hexham, has bought another lorry (3 tons 2 cwt.).

.1. W. Hodgson, Ltd., 209 Blackwell Road, Carlisle, has taken over a lorry {4 tons 12 cwt.) from Mr. B. Mondale. The Garage, Greystoke, Penrith: Messrs. Lomond and Warren, MiHeld. Steil, Kirkcudbright, Scotland. one (2 tons 9 cwt.), based in Carlisle, from Mr. E. Waters, 84 St. Mary's Avenue, Monkseaton; and Union Hall Transport Co.. Ltd.. Union Hail Farm, Lemington, one (2 tons 19 cwt.) from Mr. J. C. Thompson, of the same address.

NORTH-WEST J. Buckley and Co. (Warrington), Ltd., .Raddon Court, Knutsford Road. Warrington. have acquired an articulated outfit (41 tons) in a direct repeat purchase.

Messrs. Briers Bros., 9 Chea pside, Shepshed. Loughborough, have acquired two vehicles, one of them (1 ton) from Wescol (Bradford),•Ltd., County Garage, Trinity Lane. Ripon. and the other (1 ton 3 cwt.) from Mr. A. Cartledge, Brook Farm, Olga Road, Nottingham.
