The Ministry of Defence has extended its contract with lax Defence, adding 3,300 vehicles to the fleet of over 9,000 noncombat vehicles already provided. The vehicles will be on a continuous hire basis, beginning in 2003 and will be operated by the Royal Air Force. This puts the value of the contract over £600m.
