formed by the director of the failed Stockport haulage company Green Transport has been successful in gaining a licence.

Brochure Express, a company formed by Robin Green, had applied for a new international licence for 20 vehicles and four trailers. The company had interim authority to operate 15 vehicles and two trailers.

When the application came before North Western Deputy Traffic Commissioner John Levin in September, Robin Green said Green Transport had been put into voluntary liquidation because of problems with the bank. He told the Deputy Commissioner the bank had been happy with the company's bor

rowings for one year but in the next it felt it was over-exposed.

He added that Green Transport had been pressurised by the bank into using its factoring service, which cost the company a total of £75,000 a year which became unmanageable.

Adjourning the proceedings, but suspending three vehicles from the interim authority for four weeks because of the issue of a number of prohibition notices, Levin said he had insufficient financial information at that time on which to make a decision (CM19-26 September).

When the hearing was resumed financial evidence was heard in private at the company's request.

Granting the application, Levin indicated he had been satisfied by the information produced by the company.
