THE Monopolies Commission report on the supply of electrical equipment for vehicles was issued yesterday; a full report will be published next week.
The Commission was in 1957 directed to inquire into various classes of equipment, including all types of electrical equipment fitted to road vehicles, and to report whether, and to what extent, conditions to which the relevant Acts apply did in fact prevail. It was further asked to report on the things being done as a result of, or to preserve, those conditions, and whether any of the actions involved operated against, or could operate against, the public interest.
