• ICI's relationships and communications advisory committee at the Billingham works has been informed by Mr William C. Wilson, general manager of Teesside Municipal Transport, that there can be no daily or weekly concessionary fares for workers using special buses to and from the Billingham factory.
Mr Wilson is reported to have said that such a grant would lead to an increase in fares for normal services. The works committee is now to ask the department if it is possible to provide monthly season tickets for works buses.
