I N an appreciation of Sir Henry Piggott, Major E. H. B. Palmer writes: Although his health had been failing for sonic time, the passing of Sir Henry must come as a shock to those of us who have enjoyed the privilege of appearing before him in the South-eastern Traffic Area and, since the war, in the Metropolitan court.
One could not help noticing of late that Sir Henry was carrying on under great physical strain, but this was never allowed to interfere with his attention to the job in hand or with his innate sense of courtesy towards all concerned. His wisdom and understanding were proverbial and we shall miss him.
