THE Northern General Transport Co.. Ltd., has been granted permission by the Northern Licensing Authority to operate nine-day tours from May to September from various parts of County Durham to London during the Festival of Britain. The application was opposed by the Railway Executive and United Automobile Services, Ltd.
Mr. S. W. Nelson, the Licensing Authority, said that it would be fantastic if operators of tours during the Festival period could not take their patrons to the 'Festival exhibition.
