The Metropolitan Pollce has an on-going CV examination programme. The checks will look at insecure loads, operators licensing requirements, and mechanical and traffic offences. Goods vehicles carrying hazardous materials will be checked to ensure safe storage, and that the driver has the correct training and knowledge of safety procedures in the evert of a spillage," says a Met spokesman.
