• In a briefing note to its 25,000 members the Royal Institute of British Architects suggests that those with direct experience of the effect on the environment of damage caused by heavy lorries should send their evidence to the Minister for Transport Industries, estimating the possible effect on buildings of vehicles in excess of the 32-ton limit.
