Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Paul Brackington, AMIMechE ANEW method of quoting engine outputs appears in a Leyland Corporation publication—Leyland gross ratings.

They are based on parameters that correspond—says Leyland--to those in a new draft British Standard covering diesel engine outputs.

In the main they are marginally lower than previous net ratings quoted. But in some cases the ratings are higher and in four cases the same as the net.
