EACH OF THE 20 International Truck of the Year jury members had 12 points to allocate but could not give more than seven of them to any one candidate. Voting took place as a secret ballot by fax, with no conferring between the judges.
The votes were collected by the IToY independent adjudicator Umberto de Pretto at the I RU in Geneva before the chairman was then notified of the jury's decision.
