Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The new owners of Langton Storage and Transport have invested more than £14 million in developing a service they are calling the 'Longton Link concept.

Three months ago Thomson T-Line ventured into transport for the first time when the company bought up Longtons. The 'Link' concept has been introduced since then.

The new package offers six individual products within the distribution field. A customer can select one service or choose to link up the total system.

The components include Stock Link — a storage and distribution service to the grocery trade, Trunk Link — an express general haulage service aimed at full loads, Trade Link — an export packing and freight forwarding service, Fleet Link — the provision of fleet management and Quick Link — a brand new service aimed at filling the gap between an express parcels ser vice and a general haulier dealing with heavy weight consignments.

Longtons has spent more than £100,000 on a fleet of Leyland trucks for the Quick Link service and offers a guaranteed 48-hour service within the UK.

Paint manufacturer, Valspar Paints, is spending more than 2600,000 on a three-year contract with the Fleet Link component. The contract provides it with a total distribution and transport package.
