Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• TDP Distribution of Hitchin has ousted NFC Distribution company SPD from a WH Smith distribution contract.

TDP and SPD used to run alongside each other on the contract to deliver to 200 WH Smith branches in the East Midlands, East Anglia, London and the Northern Home Counties. Now TDP alone has the three-year contract, involving 6-8 vehicles making deliveries out of the WH Smith Dunstable warehouse.

In addition, TDP now runs a further 6-8 vehicles that deliver to the same branches but carrying different product lines, trunked to TDP at Hitchin from W1-1 Smith's Swindon warehouse. To service the new contract TDP has bought 14 MercedesBenz 1314s, fitted with 6.7m (22ft) Saxon GRP box bodies. The company has also bought four Daf 2500 tractive units and four 12.2m semi-trailers to handle the tninking from the Dunstable warehouse to six radial distribution centres in other parts of the country.
