A COMPLETE range of sider operating fork-lift carriers, rangingin capacity from 4,000 lb. to 30,000 lb. and powered either electrically or by petrol or oil engines, is being marketed by Materials Handling Equipment (Great Britain), Ltd., 7 Chesterfield Gardens, London, W.1. Lacquer for Chromium A COLOURLESS str.otective lacquer for chromium plating, known as Solve' Chromekote, is now available from Sol vo lene Lubricants, Ltd., Reginald Square, London, S.E.8. It is said to be non-yellowing, so that appearance is retained with age, whilst alkali and salt resistance is incorporated to guard against removal of the solution when washing with detergents or travelling over salt-treated roads.

The preparation is non-inflammable and dries in two minutes. It may be removed with petrol, paraffin or turpentine substitute. A 2-oz. bottle, complete with a brush in the cap, costs 2s. 6d. •

Aerox Filter Unit EMPLOYING Porsilex material -I—, known as SP35, which is a waterrepellent medium in the pressure range of 150-200 p.s.i., a new type of filter unit has beeen developed by Aerox, Ltd., Lister Place, Glasgow, S.W.2. It will free an air or gas stream of moisture and solid particles down to

one micron in size.

For high rates of flow (100 c.f.m. free air) a slightly different type of element —SP28—may be fitted to provide filtration down to 10 microns. It is claimed that the filter will remove a high per

centage of free moisture, and an automatic drain trap can be fitted to standard units of this type.

A Slim Auxiliary Lamp DESIGNED to fit between the radiator or wings an.d bumper. of a vehicle, a slim auxiliary lamp has been introduced by

Robert Bosch. G.m.b.H., Stuttgart. It it available either as a long-distance driving lamp or as a fog lamp, and can be fitted with a yellow lens.

Both models incorporate a 35-watt bulb, and may be fitted to horizontal or vertical surfaces with rubber bushes to ensure a durable and resilient fixing. Price of the lamps suitable for 6v. or 12v. circuits is £3 16s. 3d., including the bulb and brackets.
