ROAD HAULAGE Association (RHA) chief executive Roger King has revealed he is due to step down in May 2009 after nine years in the role.

The former MP has been instrumental in building the RHA's product portfolio to include areas such as training for members, as well as lobbying government for fairer fuel duty and taxation.

King says: "I will he leaving the RHA in May next year. The board is in the process of looking at the job spec and what they might look for in a candidate. Hopefully, there will be a new candidate in the post early next year."
