Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new fifth wheel and slider range comes from Runcornbased manufacturer VI3(;. It has been developed to meet the demand for ever lower and lighter vehicle couplings.

The VBG65 SPL 2 fifth-wheel weighs from 116kg,—about 6kg less than its predecessor—and is available in kits to give mounting heights as low as 138mm and up to 257n ml.

After extensive testing the prod uct complies with the EC standard. Its most noticeable visual changes are the different shaped top plate and the one-piece pivot casting, designed to give better grease distribution.

Existing optional features like the extended interlock han die and auto-lubrication will continue to be available, but special-application products, including VBG's air-operated, two-height fifth wheel allowing low-deck artics to couple with mega-cube and conventional trailers, will now incorporate the SPL2 model coupling.

Weight and height have also been shed on the new slider.

I n its leanest form the ECapproved VBG65 SF is 20kg lighter and 15min lower than its forerunner, the R65.
