500 Scanias EDDIE STOBART is spending irm on 500 new Scanias — the firm's biggest order to date.
Half the new trucks replace ageing vehicles: the rest are part of a programme to boost the fleet to 1,300. The Euro-4 EGR vehicles will be phased into the Stobart fleet at a rate of 60 per month.
Stobart chief executive Andrew Tinkler says: "The trucks will help us service growth from existing customers — and bring environmental and fuel-efficiency benefits."
