The cover divides into two broad sections. One relates to the computer equipment together with the computer records, including the information and programs. The other covers increase in the cost of working.

Section 1 provides for accidental loss or damage to computer equipment and also loss of or damage to the computer records, including reinstatement of programs and/or information lost through distortion, corruption or by accidental or malicious erasure anywhere in the world.

Cover includes fire and special perils, theft and malicious acts — plus breakdown caused by public supply voltage fluctuation or failure. There is reinstatement as new where the computer is not more than five years old at inception of risk.

Additionally, automatic cover up to 1:25,000 applies for up to 9() days on extra computer equipment and records taken into use up to 1:25,000.

Section 2 provides for the increase in cost of working under various circumstances. For instance, extra costs might arise following loss or damage covered under Section I or perhaps after loss or damage recoverable under maintenance, rental or hire agreement or guarantee. The indemnity period is three months from time of occurrence.
