• Privatisation plans for stateowned Ulsterbus in Northern Ireland are still "in the pipeline", says the company.
Managing director Ted Hesketh is currently looking at Employee Share Ownership Plans (ESOPs) in the USA.
Meanwhile, the company has taken delivery of three new Leyland Tiger TL11-engined chassis with Duple high-floor 340 coachwork built to SL-plus specification.

• Chesterfield Transport is continuing its conversion to single-deckers with the purchase of five Leyland Lynxes to join the six delivered last year. This year's intake follows the current trend by having Cununins engines and bus trim.
Chesterfield has also bought six 10-year-old Leyland Nationals from Greater Manchester Buses to add to its 32-strong fleet.
