Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Greater Glasgow PTE. Headed by director-general Ronald Cox, the PTE is operating from offices at Scottish Life House, 48 St Vincent Street, Glasgow 02 5TP (tel 041-248 5971).

Director of operations is, as previously announced, William Murray, former genera] manager of Glasgow Corporation transport department.

The other three directors are: William N. Stirling (finance), formerly town chamberlain of Motherwell and Wishaw town council; Andrew F. McKay (planning and development), former passenger manager of British Rail's Scottish region; and Joseph Coyle (industrial relations), former head of industrial relations in the National Coal Board's Scottish region. Mr Coyle will take up his appointment on July 1. The other directors start work today.

Because June 1 has been a rushed starting date — it is the beginning of the financial

year in Scotland there is little likelihood of drastic operating changes in the next few months. No decision has yet been reached on a new livery, for instance.
