Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NATIONAL Travel's (South East) 1977 Hillingdon Showbus Rally attracted more than 140 entries from all over the country.

In the three classes for passenger vehicle still in service — first in the Leyland Truck and Bus Trophy section for buses and coaches registered before 1970, was an immaculately prepared 1965 Eastern National Bristol FLF double decker.

Runner-up was World Wide coaches with a 1970 Mercedes-Benz D302 Plaxton coach.

Winner of the Commercial Motor Trophy for modern service buses registered since 1970 was Essex Independent Operator Hedingharn and District Omnibuses with a 1975 Leyland Leopard Willowbrook Service Saloon. Runner-up was a 1977 Brighton Borough Transport Leyland Atlantean AN68 double decker.

The Mercedes-Benz Tankard award for post 1970 coaches went to a 1977 Bedford YMT Plaxton Executive Coach entered by National Travel (South-West), runnerup was a new Bristol LHS Plaxton operated by Waterhouse Coaches of Polegate, Sussex.

The award for the Premier operator went to the WestMidlands PTE for their entries of a Silver Jubilee Daimler fleetline double decker, a Leyland National Suburban Express and their 1958 Daimler CV/G 6 double decker which was finished in the livery of the old Coventry Transport undertaking.

Runner-up in this class was London Country Bus Services which entered a new AEC Greenline Coach, an AtIantean and a refurnished 1949 RT double decker.

The rally was well attended by the public, preserved bus enthusiasts, private operators, PTEs, municipalities, and subiaries of the National Bus Company.
