• Detailed surveys into the activities of the industrial training boards and the working of the Industrial Training Act are to be undertaken by the DEP on behalf of the Central Training Council. One object is to strengthen the links between the CTC and the individual boards.
A survey unit has been set up within the DEP and Mr Alan Mumford, formerly training manager of IPC Magazines Ltd, has been appointed deputy chief adviser on industrial training. The first survey will cover management training and development.
