.AST front-engined Nubian 'chassis is at present being )1eted in the factory. Although built by Scammell over the last few years, this is likely to be the last vehicle to carry the Thornycroft name.
It seems that this fact is probably going to go unrecorded officially.
Even though I am actively involved in Scammell's rearengined replacement for the Nubian Major, I still feel that another famous name should not pass into history unnoticed. N. J. ALLEN, Carpenders Park, Watford.
