30cwt unladen. If the Minister's proposals for goods vehicle licences become law my vehicles will no longer require to have a carrier's licence; will! be able to claim the unexpired portion of my carrier's licence fee which I will be renewing on January 1 1968?
AThe Minister has not made provision in
her proposals for any rebate to be made. When operators have one or two vehicles, and these are in the vast majority, the expense of administering a rebate scheme by the Ministry of Transport would be costly if not prohibitive.
It is different for a large fleet operator, however, and the operator associations will no doubt take the matter up.
