Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A truck driver was beaten up by three raiders and threatened with what he thinks was a gun as he slept in an Essex yard.

The 48-year-old Manchester man, who has not been named, was woken by a noise as he slept in his cab at the yard of Walpole Wrights in Lawford, Essex. He got out of his cab to investigate, police say: "When he got to the rear of his unladen lorry he was assaulted and threatened by the three men," an Essex police spokesman says. During the beating one of the raiders pointed something at the driver's head.

"From his description it could have been a handgun," say the police.

The trio fled empty-handed and armed police sent to the area were unable to find them. All three were white, about 30 years old and spoke with London accents.
