Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

COMMERCIAL vehicle registrations last month were up by 27.4 per cent on September 1984, and over 3.5 tonnes the rise was by 11.5 per cent.

Figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders show registrations of all vehicles up from 19,935 in September last year to 25,405 and over 3.5 tonnes from 4,067 to 4,535.

For the first nine months of the year, total registrations are up from 210,502 to 223,864 and over 3.5 tonnes they are up from 40,402 to 42,776.

By the end of last month,

Ford's leadership of the over3.5 tonne sector was down from 1984's 18.2 per cent to 16.9 per cent, Leyland was up from 14.9 per cent to 15.7 per cent, and Mercedes-Benz was up from 9.4 per cent to 11.6 per cent.

In the niedium/heavy van sector, Ford's commanding leadership is down slightly from 39.8 per cent of 90,924 in the first nine months of last year to 37.2 per cent of 95, 9 6 6 .
