NISSAN and Mitsubishi will be launching new pickups in 1986.

The Nissan models will be introduced around July and will replace the existing oneton 4x2 and King Cab 4x4 models.

Final choice of engines for the Nissan pickups has yet to be finalised.

The extended King Cab design will not be carried over on to the new 4x4 model.

Mitsubishi's pick-up, which will be designated the L200, is due "late in 1986."

The L300 panel van range may also be revised for next year, but without the Continental option of a 2.3-litre diesel engine.
