RICHARD EVANS has joined the Transport Tribunal as full-time secretary. His move is in preparation for a greater number of appeals expected following the Bus Bill, and as the operator's licensing environmental legislation bites deeper.
He has succeeded Bob Steed, who was acting as part-time secretary to the Tribunal, and working the rest of the time in the IX:prurient of Transport's freight policy and road haulage unit.
Evans has spent the past four years working on driver testing and training on the two-part motorcycle test, at the DTp in London.
