the six months to the end of September on turnover that was up by 25% to £187 million. The Unigate subsidiary saw profits rise by 46% to £9.5 million.
Distribution now accounts for over 30% of Wincanton turnover. During the six months Wincanton's total fleet grew by over 20% to 16,500 vehicles, and buoyant trading helped to cushion a fall in pre-tax profits at Unigate.
