IIII Associated companies Transdaniel International Ltd and C & D Jemmett Warehouse Ltd, of Bolton, have had licence applications granted, by North Western Deputy LA Kenneth Birchen, after explaining the circumstances surrounding the previous nonpayment of licence fees.
Transdaniel International had applied for a new international licence for six vehicles and 10 trailers, while C & D Jemmett Warehouse had sought the late renewal of its licence for five vehicles and five trailers.
Managing director of Transclaniel, P Ternmett said that at the moment C & D Jemmett was operating four vehicles under interim licence and Transdaniel two vehicles. Substantive licences had been granted previously, but there had been a slight mix-up over the payment of the fees. The fees had now been paid, and in fact were paid a few days late. A director had been leaving on holiday and had been in a bit of a rush.
They had recently acquired some fairly substantial contracts with some quite large companies.
His father was managing director of C & D Jemmett and he was also a director of that company, said Jemmett. The two companies operated together, and used the same funding, though they would be separated.
It had been an unfortunate hiccup and they had tried to correct the situation in a matter of days as soon as they knew what had gone wrong, Payments were now computerised and hopefully the situation would not arise again.
In reply to the LA, Jemmett said that before the interim grants they had just held a licence in the name of C & D Jemmett. Initially, they had simply been in warehousing. That dropped off and they had gone after these other contracts. C & D Jerrunetts licence had lapsed for about 48 hours.
