Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

E latest British Road Services Ltd. general haulage branch to be redeveloped—King's Lynn—was opened yesterday by the Mayor of King's Lynn, Mr. J. L. Juby.

Situated on a much larger site than the original premises in John Kennedy Road, the new branch is in Oldmedow Road, Hardwick Industrial Trading Estate, where many BRS customers have premises.

King's Lynn is itself the subject of a Government expansion scheme, which would increase the population to 120,000; and in determining the layout of the branch, account has been taken of the developing roll-on roll-off ferry service commenced at the port early this year.

Manager of the new depot is Mr. K. M. Peirson, who has had considerable experience of general haulage extending over 15 years in the London area and for the last five years as manager at the original John Kennedy Road premises.

BRS has 32 g.t.w. tractive units and trailers at the depot capable of handling the biggest of the Continental containers now in use.

Other units in the fleet of 40 vehicles attached to the branch include insulated containers and maximum capacity vehicles capable of carrying a payload of more than 20 tons.

The three-acre site includes a large transit shed, administrative offices and fuel island. Major repairs and general servicing of vehicles is carried out on the premises to BRS standards in the maintenance workshop which has a staff of six fitters.

At King's Lynn, BRS specializes in handling complete cargoes from ships docking at the port. These are mainly steel, aluminium and canned goods. In addition it carries perishable traffic and manufactured goods produced by local industrialists. During the season very heavy tonnages of sugar beet are cleaned and loaded by BRS, using its own equipment, and delivered to the local British Sugar Corporation factory.

Space has been allocated and plans are under consideration for the erection of a warehouse to further improve existing facilities.
